Close your eyes, imagine The Sound of Music, imagine Heidi and Peter dancing through flower covered meadows – or remember those wonderful Bollywood movies - then open your eyes and look out of the windows of Halteweidli – breath the pure mountain air, and relax!

Walk through the nature reserve, up mountains, or along relatively flat paths, to the waterfall to enjoy a drink, or something to eat at a mountain hut, or down to Lake Thun to take a steamer ride, or buy some freshly caught fish from the local fisherman.

Summer in Halteweidli is the most exhilarating time – the chalet is tucked away, half a kilometer from the main road, with breathtaking views from every window, as well as its' two terraces and large garden.

There are so many things to do, both in the surrounding countryside, but also a bit further a field.

Visit Ballenberg open air museum and it's 250 different Swiss farm houses, Interlaken or the Top of Europe Jungfrau train, take a funicular up the Niesen for a spectacular sunset, or visit the caviar farm in Frutigen, or take a pedalo ride on the Blauesee in Kandersteg. Or for the more adventurous, go paragliding or white water rafting.

Within one kilometer of the chalet you can visit Continental Europe's largest lama herd, go Western Riding, rent an electric bike, go for a carriage ride or visit the local pool. Visit the activities page for more details.

The possibilities are endless, but lying on the terrace, or under the big tree, far from it all, enjoying the view of the whole of the Kandertal, must be one of the nicest "activities" of them all.
